The importance for Technology Innovations and Interventions in solving problems affecting society at large can't be overstated. Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka, is committed to support Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship initiatives in the areas of:

1. Waste disposal and value from waste

2. Child and Maternal Heath

3.  Environmental Pollution & Sustainable Development

4.  Agricultural Technologies for Food security

5.  Malnutrition

6. Affordable and accessible healthcare

With a view to promote Innovations in the areas mentioned above a Live Business Plan Presentation is being organized as a part of Bangalore India Bio 2016. In this regard, Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC), Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka invites application from Start-ups (Companies not more than seven years old) in the form of a two page concept note mentioning Technology/Idea description (including novelty/unique value proposition), Readiness Level of Technology, Government support expected and other resources needed to take the technology to commercialization, competition, team strength, Business Model and social impact (A4 size, Font 12, New Times Roman, PDF Format).

After initial screening the selected participants will be invited to present the business plan live in a session during Bangalore India Bio. This is expected to provide a platform to start ups to pitch their ideas to various Departments of Government of Karnataka as well as Investors, venture fund/angel fund companies.
